The dossier

Appearance: Miss Lynz is a captivating lady Toe Monster with soft, pink fur that contrasts with her mischievous intentions. Her sweet appearance can be quite deceiving, especially when she’s feeling hungry and on the prowl for her next meal.

Personality: Don’t let her pink fur fool you; Miss Lynz is a crafty Toe Monster with a talent for setting traps. She loves to lure children with irresistible treats, and her favourite bait includes candy floss and popcorn. However, her sugary offerings come with a sinister twist – they are meant to catch unsuspecting youngsters!

Cunning Tricks: Miss Lynz has perfected the art of temptation. She strategically places sweets and candy in fields, hoping to entice children. But beware, children! If you stumble upon these tempting treats, do not eat them. Instead, turn around and run as fast as you can. Even worse is her most dangerous trick – leaving out cakes that look home-baked. These seemingly delicious cakes are actually poisonous! Miss Lynz takes great pride in her deceptive baking skills, making her treats look irresistible while hiding their deadly nature.

Cave Life: Miss Lynz’s cave is a blend of sweetness and danger. It’s filled with baking supplies and confectionery, giving it the appearance of a charming bakery. However, hidden among the candy jars and mixing bowls are traps and poisons, ready to ensnare any child who dares to take a bite. Fun Fact: Despite her dangerous nature, Miss Lynz is not perfect in the kitchen. She’s been known to be distracted, even burning food or causes small fires! However, her baking skills are unmatched, and her cakes and sweets look truly mouthwatering. If only they weren’t so deadly!

Warning: Children, stay alert! If you find yourself tempted by candy floss or popcorn in a field, resist the urge to indulge. And if you come across a home-baked cake, remember – it’s likely a trap set by Miss Lynz. Your best bet is to turn around and run away as fast as your legs can carry you.

Habitat survey

Inside Miss Lynz’s cave

Somewhere in Cheddar Gorge — the exact spot is a secret, and the cave has an inconvenient habit of not being where it was — is where Miss Lynz lives. The survey photograph below was taken quickly, and the surveyor did not stay for tea.
